Richard Durrant: Music for Midsummer

28 June 2020 : 7:00 pm 9:00 pm

Guitarist, composer and ukulele virtuoso Richard Durrant returns to St John The Baptist with his trademark blend of original guitar music, British flavoured folk, JS Bach and plenty of tales from the road.

This will be the Grand finale to the St John The Baptist Patronal Festival Weekend. Richard will be starting his musical pilgrimage in Orkney and then will cycle through the UK, performing en route and arriving at Brighton Open Air Theatre for the summer solstice.

Music for Midsummer

Says Richard: “This is my way of reducing my carbon footprint whilst playing music in some wonderful places and drawing attention to the climate crisis.”

In September the Cycling Music pilgrimage continues onwards from Dieppe to Santiago de Compostela.
