Richard Durrant

ENCORE AUTUMN CONCERT

Pam and Robert Stiles invite you to their fabulous coastal garden for a concert featuring guitarist Richard Durrant and Create Music String Ensemble conducted by Andrew Sherwood.

Settle into a marquee overlooking the sea to the sound of guitar and strings.

Pam and Robert are delighted to be welcoming guest guitarist and Encore Ambassador, Richard Durrant, to play with the Youth String Ensemble in their final concert of the academic year.

The programme will feature Vivaldi Guitar Concerto and some of Richard’s popular guitar solos.

Richard is a tireless performer, a prolific writer and a dedicated advocate for young musicians. His gift for story telling is as apparent as his mastery of the guitar, and he transcends musical barriers with his accessible style and relaxed presentation.

The host Pam Stiles is an ambassador for Encore and a passionate advocate for music education. She said: “The opportunity to play music is one that every child should have. Those who are able to join orchestras and perform in public – whether to their friends and family or to a wider audience – will gain confidence and experience much joy, which will stand them in good stead in all areas of their lives.”
