Richard Durrant: The Guitar Whisperer

Composer and concert artist Richard attended the Royal College of Music between 1981 to 1986. He is celebrated in Paraguay for his playing of the music of Agustin Barrios and his lyrical, virtuosic interpretations of Bach’s works (on guitar, tenor guitar and ukulele) have received critical acclaim.

In the UK Richard has appeared live on BBC Radio 2, 3, 4 and 6 Music.

This concert is part of Richard’s 2025 Cycling Music Tour when he is pedalling between venues carrying all show gear. Since 2014 Richard and guitar have cycled thousands of miles around the British Isles raising awareness of climate change, the power of the bicycle and the magic of live music.

This will be an all acoustic performance.
